In the context of the current climate changes increasingly affecting the entire world, this research deals with a topic of certain actuality regarding the pumping systems used in irrigation. In a clear, engineering manner, the author succeeds in presenting some of the most important issues of the field, accompanied at the same time by concrete solving solutions through a harmonious combination with efficient and reliable control strategies. The developed solutions also propose the use of renewable energy sources to power the pumping systems, the work thus constituting an important bibliographic reference for this field, in line with the entire specialized literature that tried to solve the major issues of the energy crisis that humanity is going through.
